Toxhards @ The Queen

This lively event opened with the well-renowned band Thesaurus Rex, who, over the course of their incredible performance, incorporated very down-to-earth social interactions with the enthusiastic crowds jumping at their feet. Their electric, engaging onstage presence was unlike anything seen before, especially given the fact that they didn’t even have a lead guitarist! 

They brought with them a uniquely awkward and comedic energy, which once again reinforced their down-to-earth nature that won over each and every one of the fans gathered into this large venue.

And following the Thesaurus Rex’s inspiring performance came the Toxhards, a band whose attractive style could only be described as some cross between System of the Down and Weird Al Yankovic. And due to the fact that they’re mostly based in LA, California, they brought with them undoubtedly entertaining theatrics that automatically grabbed the attention of everyone there. They played a new unreleased song, “Mr. Clifford,” they incorporated covers of “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles and “Suspicious Minds” by Elvis, and their encore even included Goofy Goober Rock. 

There were multiple times where the lead singer went down into the audience and brought fans up onto the stage, heightening the night’s experience for so many. And their announcements about coming to Philadelphia on October 3rd or touring Europe to record in Abbey Road Studios raised the excitement for their future plans, surely igniting in the crowds a desire to continue listening to their distinct yet tasteful songs.

This truly, without a doubt, was a melting pot of all types of music, leaving not one person at this beautiful event unentertained.
